On 18 May, Atelier 36’s own Jessica Quillin was featured on the Vauxhall Fashion Scout blog as an Insider Interview.

Vauxhall Fashion Scout (VFS) is an organization that actively promotes and supports independent design talent in the UK. Every season, VFS selects a number of exciting designers and provides them with a showcase during LFW through catwalk shows, exhibitions, films, and other promotional events.  Recent VFS designers included: David Koma, Louise Armstrup, Peter Pilotto, Felder Felder, and Georgia Hardinge.

Jessica spoke with VFS about Atelier 36’s work with UK young designers and the state of the market for emerging designers.

We just launched a fun project for our client, Young British Designers. The campaign, titled “YBD on Tour,” will introduce the online retailer, which specializes in emerging UK fashion, to the US market. We are happy to introduce Felicity, the YBD PR representative, and the YBD on Tour blog as part of this fashionable venture.

Felicity’s US tour will begin in New York City and continue across the country, ultimately ending in California. Influential US fashion bloggers and industry professionals such as Crosby Noricks, Sara Zucker, Marie Denee, Brittany Haas, Sarah Conley, and Rachel Meis will make appearances during the YBD on Tour campaign. Felicity’s blog will serve as a journal, recording her experiences as she introduces YBD to the USA.
